The Special Commission to Reduce the Recidivism of Sex Offenders began its meeting with Senator Brownsberger explaining that the meeting would proceed with each drafting group reporting on the status of its work, rather than by reviewing each draft, as most of the drafts had only been submitted recently and many Commissioners would not have had the opportunity to review them.
The Commission approved the draft minutes from the 10/27/15 meeting. The vote was unanimous among all Commissioners present and voting. Several Commissioners had not yet arrived at the time of the vote.

After the group who had prepared a draft report on actuarials and data discussed their work to date, the Commission, including members of the group, agreed that the group would meet again and revisit their draft so as to come up with a proposal that reflected a true consensus.

The Commission decided to meet again on February 24, 2016 from 9-11 am. The actuarials and data drafting group agreed to submit a new draft by February 17, 2016. The Commission decided that comments related to the other drafts should be submitted by email to Anne Johnson Landry, Committee Counsel and Policy Advisor to Senator Brownsberger, at annejohnson.landry@masenate.gov by the end of January. The Commission decided that Attorney Landry should then send these comments to the drafting groups for their consideration and incorporation into their drafts.
