Sex Offender Registry Board Chair Kevin Hayden led a conversation about the impact of a recent Supreme Judicial Court decision, Doe, SORB No. 380316 v. Sex Offender Registry Board, on SORB’s caseload.
The Commission approved the draft minutes from the 1/5/16 meeting.
The Commissioners who had met to draft a consensus document relating to actuarials and data for consideration by the Commission indicated that they had been unable to reach consensus by the time of the meeting and that the draft presented reflected agreement among four Commissioners. Sex Offender Registry Board Chair Kevin Hayden would submit a separate document.
The Commission decided to compare and have a discussion about these two documents at the next Commission meeting, scheduled for March 7, 2016, at 9 am.
The Commission decided to focus the other half of the March 7th meeting on interagency cooperation. Commissioner Connolly would submit a written explanation of existing interagency cooperation for discussion at the next meeting. Representative Khan would present information on the development of her legislation relative to an interagency council on management of juvenile and adult sex offenders.
